So I am back to landscaping...

Old Tampa Bay - Landscape Quilt

I have no obligations for a while. Nothing to finish, so I need to finish what I started. And it is this quilt. I have added more stuff since I took this picture this morning. I am ready to start sewing it down now & then maybe I will be done with it. Ready to start another.

I am taking a Miniture Landscape Quilt class from Quilt University that starts on Sat. I am happy because then I can make some small quilts for our quilt club's quilt show in February.

You can find out info at www.quiltersworkshop.org.

And I will learn how to perfect my perspective, etc. I have been purchasing fabrics to make more quilts. It is really fun.

Working away on the challenge quilt

This is the challenge quilt I am making for the Sunshine & Sisterhood Quilt show of my guild. These are my daughters lying out in the sun like they use to. Hence I will probably name it – SUNSHINE & SISTERHOOD. You may notice that I am missing a daughter. Vicki has the picture I need & I can’t seem to get her to scan it in. DRAT! I e-mailed her this pix and said “the only thing missing is you”, so maybe it will come soon.

Sunshine & Sisterhood - minus one sister!

Last night at the guild Marilyn Hood showed her beautiful quilts. I only had my camera phone with me but I took some pix. I will post them later. But here is one, not a great pix - I took it at the Jacksonville show & was crowded.

What will your blog be about?

This blog is going to be where I tell you what I am up too, show you around my studio, run ideas by you, share my latest findings, etc. You know - just like every other blog.

So what are you up too, you may ask. I am finishing up a t-shirt quilt that is double sided. The quilt is done but I am stumped with the quilting. It is the same layout on both sides, so in my anal retentive mind I want each cornerstone and each shashing stip to line up and have special quilting, but I have to let that go. I have it lined up as good as I can and I am going to give it one more try (I have already pulled out stitches). I have to, it needs to get done so I can do the other one for the brother.

I have a bunch of stuff I want to embroider but I want them to be spectacular. Not your usual stuff, so I am working on that. Especially need to develop my jeans line - watch for that!

I have several projects with pictures underway to post on my web site, so as soon as I get that quilt done this weekend I will finish those up. They include a mosaic quilt, a landscape quilt with elements added from machine embroidery, and a "Happy Village".

Plus I am working on my web site. Trying to develop prices that are comparable to others on the web. Once I do that then I have to add the page to my web site. All this while trying to re-remember HTML coding, and editing pictures for the web site.

TONIGHT I will head over to the Florida State Fair where I entered several items. Will I win? I only entered because I had a friend who entered so I thought I would go along with her. Keep your fingers crossed.

Alright, guess I better move on and get ready for my day job. Peace friends.
