I hate that term - bucket list - but I guess there was a movie so now it is the buzz word. You know on Facebook they have a bucket list going around with different things on it, did you or didn't you do. But I wonder if I have a bucket list...I don't really have any great desires, I kind of get them one minute & act on them the next.
I have swam with dolphins, been to Alaska, the Alps, white water rafted, traveled all over , driven cars really fast...But there are a few things I guess I haven't got to do yet that may be considered a bucket list. So here goes, in no order other than the way I am think of them: (this all being if I have the $$ to do it, but we are all the same there)
*Take Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale Colonial Ports cruise in Oct one year.
*Have an RV and travel all over New England & the Eastern Sea Board.
*Visit Nova Scotia.
*Take a Scandinavian Cruise.
*Travel across the Atlantic on the QMII with my mother.
*Live at the beach BUT on a tree loaded lot (like Virginia K's) but in the Keys on a lagoon.
*Get back to my fighting weight & wear cute clothes so I am not embarrassed around my husband's friends.
*Dance dance dance.
*Learn to do stand up comedy so I can entertain when I am at parties ;-}.
*Have time & inclination to set up a really cool web site.
*Go back to Washington DC and see what I haven't gotten to see yet.
*Spend time in the presence of very intelligent people and discuss issues.
*Have hair the color I want it to be.
*Go to the Bondurant School of Racing in Phoenix.
*Retain my current health status or better.
*Learn to not let my husband's political views annoy me, or his driving. None of it is important enough to stress over.
*Have fun like I had in the early 90s w/o the drama & with my husband.
*Get to know people from everywhere. They use to tell me I should work in a bar, because I love those 5 minute relationships. I don't like bars, but I would love to (when I retire) work where I can get to know people shortly, talk to them, & let them go. (Not WalMart)
*Another thing I was told I should be was a disc jockey, I could dig that too, but I would need to improve the sound of my voice (Columbia School of Broadcasting??)
*Write a book about my life.
*Write a book.
*Win something very big & impressive.
*Have more than 15 min of fame for doing something important.
*Give give give.
*Return to all my favorite places & do the stuff I could never afford to do & stay in the fanciest places.
*See Angkor Wat.
*Go back to Alaska, also to Banff, Wyoming, Denver, Montana.
*Take the American "Orient Express"
*Take the real Orient Express
*See Moose & bear in the wild.
OK, lunchtime is over. What about you - what do you want to do?
